Our #2058 Dent Ball Puller Cable is designed for pulling dent balls in a variety of applications such as curved mouthpipes, trombone tuning slides, sax necks, etc. Cable is made from aircraft quality stranded 302/304 stainless steel to provide good strength and flexibility. Each end of the cable is fitted with a threaded brass ferrule and retaining nut. Dent balls need minimum hole size 0.171" (4.3mm).
How To Use:
- Unscrew retaining nut from one end of cable, slide dent ball onto cable and reattach retaining nut.
- Slide one end of cable into larger end of crook or pipe and run all the way through tube.
- Pull cable on through tube until dent ball reaches dent. Depending on type of repair, either attach handle to pull on cable, or clamp cable in vise and pull on tube. If using vise be sure to clamp cable itself and not threaded end or retaining nut.
- To remove dent ball, remove handle (if used) and with retaining nuts attached at both ends slide cable back through tube and out the larger end. Reattach handle or clamp cable in vise to dislodge dent ball.
Specifications:
- cable length: 36" (91cm)
