Our #2488 FLAT SIDE DENT BALL SET offers a new unique shape designed to help expand the technician's arsenal of dent tools. As shown in the illustration below this shape provides the same radius as a similarly sized standard dent ball but with the 'front' and 'back' of the ball removed. This feature allows the position of the working surface of the dent ball (the center of the arc) to change in relation to the dent rod, allowing access to a greater number of areas than what just a standard dent ball will offer.
The narrow profile makes our flat side dent balls especially effective for raking or pushing up dents. And the slightly radiused edge is a good aid for focusing in on sharp dents.
Precision machined and finished using corrosion resistant magnetic stainless steel. This type of stainless steel allows use of a magnet to assist in locating balls inside the pipe. Use for french horn bell pipes, saxophone bows and main body tube, and other large bore size instruments crooks and bows.
Set includes 4 flat side dent balls and storage case.
