Set of four concrete wedge type anchors for installing our Adjustable Vise Stand into concrete floor.
After determining vise stand location, set vise stand in position and mark or scribe on the floor the location of the 4 mounting holes in the base plate. Set vise stand to the side and in the marked locations drill four 1/2" (12.7mm) diameter holes to a minimum depth of 2 3/4" (70mm) using masonry drill bit. We recommend first using a 1/8" (3.2mm) drill bit for a pilot hole to help prevent drifiting of hole location while drilling, and then finishing with 1/2" drill bit. Hammer drill recommended.
After cleaning out holes, set vise stand in place. Install nut and washer onto threaded end of anchor, with nut on top and positioned so that anchor threads are just even with top of nut. Insert bottom end of anchor through the vise's base plate hole and use a mallet to drive anchor down into concrete hole until washer is flush with base plate. After all four anchors are in place, use wrench to tighten anchor nuts until stand is secure.
