Designed for large bore brass instruments such as
tubas, sousaphones, baritones, and euphoniums, our Snapper Slide Puller is has
proven to be a well used item in any
repair shop. Simple to use, it can quickly break loose many stuck tuning slides without damaging or marring the instrument.
Simply run the loop end around the
slide crook and bring the
handle through the loop. While holding the instrument
stationary, grasp the handle and apply a sharp rap.
The steel handle weighs a hefty 1 lb. (0.45 kg) and
the polyester rope allows for practically no stretch. Provides a solid, controlled rap to the slide.
Note: not recommended for trumpet and other small bore instruments as distortion
to the pipes and valve casing ports may occur.
GREAT ITEM FOR ROAD TECHS
Whether doing a quick on site repair or estimate, if you can't break the
tuning slide free with the Snapper Slide Puller you'll have a better idea of how
much to estimate the job.
